The Board of County Commissioners prepares and administers the overall county budget, is the county's contracting authority, and develops and adopts policies for the administration of county services. The Commissioners implement laws and rules put forth by state agencies and the legislature.
Our number one priority continues to be economic development; this is critical in creating jobs for today and stabilizing our county for the future. These jobs directly translate into revenues for local businesses and government. We are proud of the combined local and state efforts that have resulted in new life for the old Ford transmission plant in Batavia; the University of Cincinnati became the first tenant in the facility in fall 2010, resulting in more jobs and more opportunities for residents of this area to receive four-year degrees in careers that are steadily in demand.
Your Commissioners are committed to maintaining an open and transparent government. The Commissioners hold sessions at 10 a.m. on most Mondays and Wednesdays. Sessions of the Board are held in the third floor session room of the Clermont County Administration Building, located at 101 E. Main Street in Batavia, Ohio.
