Administrative Team
The Clermont County Board of Commissioners created the appointed office of County Administrator to manage its policies and prepare the county budget.
Thomas Eigel
Thomas J. Eigel was named Clermont County administrator on Feb. 21, 2018.
Eigel reports directly to the commissioners and is responsible for the budget and operations of all county departments that fall within the purview of the board. These include the Water Resources Department, the Building Inspection Department, the Office of Management and Budget, the Office of Public Information, the Department of Community and Economic Development, the Emergency Management Agency, and the Department of Job & Family Services. More than 400 employees work for these various departments.
Eigel began his tenure with Clermont County as assistant county administrator in 2012. Prior to the county, his experience included more than 15 years in the government and nonprofit sectors.
Eigel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Cincinnati in Political Science in 1993, and a Master of Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University in 2003.
